One Nine Two

Today summer school went into full effect.  Both online classes started and I had two classes on campus at ACC.  In my first class of the day I drew this..

I guess summer school really isn't that different from my everyday life.
Just doodling about cute boys and perfect summer romances.
Oh yeah, I'm beyond sappy, it's almost ridiculous.  Such a girl.

One Nine Three

I have this friend.. His name is Taylor.  I never call him just Taylor.  I always say his full name when speaking to him or about him.  So, actually it's Taylor Moser.  This adorable man is without a doubt one of my very best friends on earth.  Now, I said that to say this.  Tonight, I got to see Taylor Moser lead worship at a cool little place called YouthQuake at one of the local churches.  It was a new adventure for me attending another youth program.  I never leave my home church and my youth so I loved getting to see a different set up and learning a little something tonight.  Now, Taylor Moser is one awesome worship leader and I was so incredibly impressed with him (although I'll never tell him, and I know he doesn't read this).  He is one talented guy and I feel really blessed to have him in my life.  He is hilarious and probably understands me on every level, including all my crazy.  Yep, he's that person.

If you want to see him - well he's in the left corner.  I was at the back of the room soaking it all in all night.  What an awesome experience to see a group of forty teenagers (you can't see many) in full praise of Jesus and pouring their heart and soul out at the cross.

One Nine Four

And, we're back!  Traveled the four hours back home today and I'm missing the salty sea already.  But before we left I followed my tradition of finding some beach bracelets to throw on my arm.  Every year I make sure to get a few string bracelets of some sort to signify that summer.  This year it's three strings of hemp and a leather braided little guy.  And of course one more hemp string on the ankle - that's always a requirement.

One Nine Five

Beautiful Memorial Day spent on the shore.
Every holiday honoring our veteran's makes me think of my uncle, Jim.  He was a great marine and an absolutely wonderful man.  Here's to all those that have made this country great and those that are still fighting for us today.  Thank you for everything.

One Nine Seven

Today, I spent my day at the beach.  I love summer.

This walk always gives me butterflies.  I don't think I can explain how much I love the beach especially the ocean.  I think it's the greatest example of God's infinite power and endless love.

Two Seven Seven - One Nine Eight

I have failed at this blogging thing for the past 80 days.  But, I'm back!  Let's go over what happened in the past months.

1.  I finally fell in love with the university that I had been a part of for five years.
2.  I finished my career as an RA at Elon.
3.  My aunt's house was struck by lightning and burned to the ground.  I saw my family grow in an unbelievable way.
4.  I vowed to always have my faith at the center of my life - more than it ever has been in the past.
5.  I made Dean's List.
6.  I decided to take a year off after graduation to figure out what I want out of life and where I think I'm going.  So, I guess this countdown should be extended.
7.  I started summer school both online through Elon and on campus at ACC.
8.  I learned humility.
9.  I rebuilt relationships that I was missing and I ended the ones that were toxic.
10.  I said good-bye to some of the best friends I could have ever asked for.
11.  And, I followed that by saying hello to a beautiful future of meeting them all in different places throughout the country and beyond.
12.  I turned 23.
13.  I was the makeup and hair designer for Elon's production of Pride and Prejudice.  Which was an incredible experience for me.
14. I spoke less, listened longer, learned more, and loved greater.
15.  I lived to the max.

I'd say a lot took place in 80 days.

These photos are from our end of the year banquet with ResLife - I owe a lot of my success in the end of my college career to these beautiful people.  I love them all, so much.

These are from my work on the show.
This was, without a doubt, the absolute best way to end my career in the Elon University Performing Arts Department.  I adore and will miss all of these beautiful faces.
