Two Eight Three

I have hit the gym so hard this week it isn't even funny.  Today, I spent THREE HOURS working out.  Now, this is quite the accomplishment for me.  Going from not enjoying gym time to absolutely loving it is such a great thing.  I'm so excited about this new outlook.

I'm in a costume design class this semester and so far it has been a blast!  Our project for today was to create a character, mine happened to be a professor in our department, as either a zombie or a zombie fighter.  Fun, right?  YES!  So here's what I came up with!

Oh, I should add we weren't allowed to sew anything and we had to use items from a "kit" given to us.  The kit didn't have more than a t-shirt and some string in it.

You know that photography class that I'm in?  Well, today I went into the dark room to create pictures from my film and guess what.  Nothing looked good and all of my photos were underexposed.  Oops.

So at one point in my life I watched films like it was my job - not so much these days.  But tonight, I decided to watch a movie that's been on my list for some time.  I watched Great Expectations and I have to say that I'm a fan.  I really enjoyed it.

A day with the wonderful Cali Lowdermilk.  We hit the gym together and worked out SO HARD, going to be sore!  Then we got some lunch and she helped me with my photography project.  She is a photographer so she was the best help in the world.  This lady has so much talent, it's unbelievable.  And just to show you, these Instagram pics were taken by that lovely girl.

Also, after dinner I went to see "The Vow" with some of my favorite RAs.  It was so wonderful.

I can not believe time has passed this quickly.  Today I found out that I'm going to graduate in July!  I knew it was a possibility but today I got some confirmation that it is a definite thing!  That's six months sooner than I thought possible and I'm beyond excited!  Maybe the countdown will have to allow for the time change.  I'll figure that out eventually :).  YAY graduation!

Have I mentioned my love for Sugarland?  I adore them so much and today I got my "Live on the Inside" album.  That's right, I now have a DVD of Sugarland in concert that I can watch every single day. I'm beyond excited.  

It's the simple things in my life that make me the happiest and country music is definitely one of those.  

Three Zero Four

Wednesdays are SO LONG in my world.  They start at either 5:30 or 7 (depending on the week) and end around 10 that night.  Now, in college world waking up before 10 a.m. is a sin so my Wednesday mornings are not pretty.  Anyway, today I was pretty excited from the moment I woke up.  Today is the UNC vs. Duke basketball game.  The biggest game of the season.  I was raised a Carolina fan and love to go to any of the basketball games!  Tonight, because of my on campus responsibilities I'm having to watch the game at home, still great, though! 

I guess watching at home you get to yell and scream anything your heart desires and no one will stare at you like you're bothering them.  :).

Too bad we lost.  I have to give it to Duke - they made one crazy comeback and the final shot was unreal.

I'm so impressed with what I did in photography class today.  I'm really excited about learning how to properly use a camera.  But today we used an oatmeal can to take some awesome photos.  This is what I came up with.

Three Zero Eight

I'm obsessed with musicals, right, you know this?  Yes, you do now.  Anyway, it's my true love in life.  Today I had the opportunity to see American Idiot for the second time.  The first time I saw this was the opening weekend on Broadway and John Gallagher Jr. absolutely blew me away.  He is so incredibly talented and I was so lucky to see that show.  Plus after the curtains closed Green Day decided to open them back up and play a little concert - NO BIG DEAL.  My life is epic sometimes.  Did I mention the tickets were won in a MTV contest?  Yeah, pretty much the best thing ever.  

So, I saw the show again in Raleigh this weekend and once again I was blown away.  

Absolutely beautiful.

I was told today that I might be able to graduate in July instead of December like I originally thought.  I really can't contain my excitement!

I was so excited going to class today because this semester I'm taking film photography.  I think this will be THE BEST.  Can't wait to put some (non-existent) photography skills to work!
